Job summary

Woolpert, Inc. seeks a Project Manager to lead transportation projects in Texas. You will guide staff from proposal through detailed design, ensuring quality within scope, schedule, and budget. The role may also support national and global projects as needed.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree (ABET-accredited) and a Texas PE license (or ability to obtain within a year). Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree preferred.
• Active PE license in Texas or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
• TXDOT prequalification in Bridge Design, Multi-Level Interchange Design, Bridge Class Culvert and Inlet Design.
• Minimum 10 years of bridge design experience.
• Must be able to travel 10-15% to client sites.
• Knowledge of TXDOT Project Development Process, construction documentation & administration; knowledge in state/local municipalities design process is a plus.
• TXDOT precertification in TXDOT bridge design/development preferred.

Job description

Position Overview

Woolpert is seeking a Project Manager to join our growing Transportation Team in Texas. The Project Manager will primarily lead the execution of projects for our Texas clients from proposal through detailed design. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated with a strong technical background to guide staff through projects. The Project Manager may also serve as a subject matter expert in support of other projects across the country and around the world.

We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.

What you will do:

• Lead project teams through the development of preliminary engineering, detailed design, and quantification of transportation projects.
• Ensure deliverables and quality standards are met in accordance with the agreed scope, schedule, and budget.
• Manage and support internal and client cross-functional teams.
• Leverage existing relationships and new client and consultant relationships in the pursuit of new work.
• Actively participate in professional societies, organizations, and conferences by serving on boards, presenting at luncheons or conferences.

What you will bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program preferred.
• Active PE License in Texas or ability to obtain a Texas PE license within in one year of hire.
• TXDOT Prequalification's

  • Bridge Class Culvert, Non-Bridge Class Culvert and Inlet Design
• Minimum 10 years of experience in bridge design preferred.

• AutoCAD and Civil3D experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment; offer constructive feedback and direction to support goals.

Pay Range

$139,200 — $174,000 USD
