Bridge Project Engineer/Inspection Team Leader

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Bridge Inspection Team Leader to join our structures team in Maryland. This role involves leading a team in bridge inspections, supporting project managers in training entry-level engineers, and participating as a designer for transportation structures projects. The candidate will utilize modeling and design software to support project objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Bridge Inspection Team to ensure accurate assessment of structures
• Conduct element-level inspections of structures in compliance with NBIS and SNBI, reporting using AssetWise
• Support training of entry-level engineers in bridge inspection
• Participate in design projects related to transportation structures using modeling software

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; graduate work preferred
• 5-9 years of professional experience
• PE certification required
• Good problem-solving, communication, and technical writing skills
• Experience with NBIS and SNBI inspections, AssetWise reporting, and familiarity with MDOT SHA, MDTA, and PennDOT bridge design programs
• Microstation and OpenBridge Modeler experience preferred
• Participation in NHI 2-week bridge inspection course required; NHI NSTM course preferred
• Travel as needed

Additional Details
