Job summary

HNTB Corporation in Connecticut seeks an Engineer III to support bridge and railroad structure projects across the Northeast, including the WALK Bridge Program and CTDOT-related work in Rocky Hill, CT. You will produce and modify design calculations, reports, plans and specifications, consult with project managers, apply engineering criteria, and mentor junior staff to deliver on schedule.

Experience in structural analysis, load rating, and familiarity with AutoCAD/MicroStation is preferred;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• PhD in Engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work within the schedule and hours provided.
• Assist in development of project specifications.
• Develop discipline-specific engineering elements/deliverables (reports, designs, plans).
• Aid in coordination and productivity of project team members.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Work with multiple disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
• Perform quality control reviews of design elements/deliverables.
• Assist with planning of schedules and distribution of work.
