Job summary

Walbec Group in Wisconsin is seeking a Project Engineer to plan, direct, and coordinate activities on designated heavy highway projects under the Area Manager. You will assist Project Managers with bid prep, budgets, and schedules, and ensure timely delivery within funding parameters.

Responsibilities include overseeing quantity reporting, cost tracking, labor budgets, and weekly schedules; coordinating with Construction Managers and subcontractors; contributing to safety planning and quality

Qualifications

• 1–5+ years of experience in heavy highway construction.
• Bachelor's Degree or vocational certification in a related field.
• Valid Driver's License and insurability per company standards.
• Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and site coordination.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate project activities to meet deadlines.
• Prepare budgets, project schedules, and weekly progress reports.
• Oversee quantity reporting, cost-to-cost reporting, and labor budgets.
• Engage with Construction Managers and subcontractors for progress updates.
• Maintain site safety plan and promote a safe, efficient worksite.
• Lead meetings with owners and coordinate communications.
