Job summary

Becho Incorporated, a Tutor Perini Company, seeks a Project Engineer for the Connecticut River Bridge Project in Old Saybrook, CT. You will support the Project Manager, manage change proposals, cost reporting, and quantity take-offs, contributing to project profitability and timely closeout.

The role requires a Civil/Geotechnical background with 3+ years in civil construction, office or field engineering experience, and a readiness to handle multiple priorities on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Civil/Geotechnical fields from an accredited institution.
• Master degree and PE registration preferred but not required.
• 3+ years of construction experience in the civil or infrastructure sector.
• Previous experience as a field engineer, project engineer or office engineer.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager and track/review/process Change Proposal Requests and Change Orders.
• Process Owner Payment Applications and, if applicable, claims.
• Monitor job costs and maintain accurate reports; assist in quantity reporting.
• Prepare quarterly profit project records and analyze labor costs.
• Manage the Project closeout process and ensure timely completion.
• Research and propose solutions to quality control issues; perform quantities take-offs.
