Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of bridge engineering experience.
• Knowledge of FDOT design standards and AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
• Proficiency with OpenBridge Designer or InfraWorks preferred.
• Proficiency with MathCAD preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the design elements to complete a project with team members with clear objectives.
• Assists in preparing complete project documentation including plans, specs, and engineer estimates.
• Evaluates, selects, and adapts standard techniques for project assignments; solves problems with guidance.
• Plans and coordinates detailed aspects of engineering work; works on multiple projects within time and budget.
• Assists in preparation of project scopes, tasks, budgets, and schedules.
• Interacts with clients, contractors, and project team; attends project meetings.
