Job summary

AVCON, INC. seeks a Facilities Structures Engineer in Orlando, FL, to act as Engineer of Record for several building projects. You will guide structural design, prepare sealed drawings, and ensure QA/QC across calculations and specifications.

Ideal candidates bring 6+ years of building structures experience, a Civil Engineering degree, and PE licensure with Florida licensure feasibility within six months. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Ram Structural Suite, and Bluebeam is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structures.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in building structures engineering design.
• Professional Engineer licensure with ability to obtain Florida licensure within six months.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Engineer of Record and Lead Technical Professional for assigned building projects.
• Direct development of complete, signed and sealed structural drawing sets.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of structural calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to designers and junior engineers.
• Lead structural design efforts using steel, concrete, masonry, and wood systems.
