Job summary

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is seeking a Bridge National Practice Leader to manage our public and private infrastructure structural design teams.

The ideal candidate will lead operations, be technically proficient in structural engineering for railroad bridge and/or public sectors, and possess strong communication and organizational skills to collaborate with others to support the goals of the company.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of seven years' leadership or practice management experience in structural engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is required; SE license preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to obtain additional state licenses to support regional growth.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building abilities.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

  • Mentors, collaborates, and oversees Bridge Regional Practice Leads and supporting project managers and staff.
  • Function as a technical leader to facilitate the professional development of engineering staff.
  • Direct, plan, and coordinate the team utilization and financial metrics within the Structures Bridge team.
  • Develop and review proposals, in collaboration with other team members, to determine project requirements, schedules, budgets, and staffing needs to win the project.
  • Direct, plan, and coordinate activities of personnel to ensure that standards, schedules, budgets, and quality expectations are met.
  • Monitor and update the pursuit pipeline, operational labor backlog, and projected staff assignments and utilization.
  • Travel will be necessary.
