Job summary

HDR in Houston is seeking a Bridge Intern Engineering to gain real-world experience on exciting projects and be mentored by professionals. You will apply standard engineering techniques, sharpen attention to detail, and contribute to HDR's employee-owned culture.

As an undergraduate or graduate engineering student, you will collaborate with teams, learn from experienced engineers, and participate in mentoring and professional development programs within HDR's Bridges and Structures group.

  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

  • Gain real-world experience on exciting projects.
  • Connect with recent graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs.
  • Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.
  • Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

In the role of Bridge Intern Engineering, we'll count on you to:

  • Gain real-world experience on exciting projects
  • Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs

  • Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager
  • Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
Required Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
  • Attention to detail
  • Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
