Job summary

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of bridge inspection experience
• Completion of NHI Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges course (FHWA-NHI-130055) or FHWA-equivalent training
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Willingness to travel up to 75%, including overnight
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs and have stamina for moderate physical activity
• Valid driver’s license
• ABET-accredited civil/structural engineering degree
• EIT/EI certification; bridge load rating or structural analysis experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Bridge Inspection: NBIS/SNBI compliance and documentation
• Document component ratings and prepare inspection reports
• Perform field work from ground, ladders, or rope access
• Coordinate with project managers and clients on schedules
• Update internal documentation and share lessons learned
• Work in various conditions including heights and weather
• Support load rating and structural analysis tasks for qualified candidates
