Job summary

Jobot is seeking an engineer to join the bridge inspection team. The role involves assisting with onsite inspections, data entry, and reporting on large-scale INDOT projects. Opportunities exist to lead inspections and grow into a team leader role within Indiana.

Candidates should have PE or EIT certification, knowledge of INDOT guidelines, and a valid driver’s license. Willingness to travel for inspections is required, with potential day and overnight trips.

Qualifications

• PE or EIT certification / licensure required or preferred.
• Knowledge of INDOT bridge inspection guidelines is a strong plus.
• Ability to safely traverse uneven terrain.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Willing to travel for bridge inspections (day and overnight trips as required).
• Willingness to eventually become Indiana Bridge Inspection Team Leader.

Responsibilities

• Assist with onsite bridge inspections, data entry, and bridge inspection reports.
• Manage bridge inspection equipment, schedule bridge inspection personnel, etc.
• Eventually lead onsite bridge inspections.
• Work and coordinate with roadway, water, environmental, survey, and utility engineers.
