Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Transportation seeks an Applications Systems Analyst II (NS) to join the Transportation Engineering Applications Development Unit. You will develop and maintain application code using C# and SQL, and support data requests and reporting.

Responsibilities include designing SQL Anywhere database schemas, managing Mobilink synchronization for offline field apps, writing complex queries, and providing user support for the bridge inspection software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or IT field with 2+ years in development or consulting.
• Associate degree in computer science or IT field with 3+ years in development or consulting.
• High School/GED with 6+ years in business application development/consulting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complex source code in C# and SQL.
• Maintain SQL Anywhere 17 database schemas and publications for data distribution.
• Manage Mobilink synchronization scripts for offline field apps.
• Write, optimize, and analyze complex SQL queries for data sync and reporting.
• Analyze SQL query performance and suggest optimizations.
• Provide technical support for bridge inspection software users.

Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science or IT related field

Associate degree in computer science or IT related field

High School diploma or GED with six years of experience in related field
