Job summary

LVI Associates seeks a Bridge Inspection Team Leader to guide NBIS inspections for bridges and tunnels across Massachusetts. You’ll lead field teams, coordinate client interactions, and ensure accurate reporting of structural conditions.

The role emphasizes mentorship, inspection leadership, and collaboration with public agencies to support critical infrastructure assessments and safe, reliable transportation networks in the Greater Boston area.

Qualifications

Currently NBIS Bridge or Tunnel Inspection Team Leader qualified.
Experience leading inspection teams and liaising with clients/public agencies.
Strong understanding of bridge inspection practices, procedures, and documentation.
Willingness to perform fieldwork, climbing, and working at heights.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

Lead and perform bridge and tunnel inspections in accordance with NBIS requirements.
Prepare and review inspection reports and structural condition assessments.
Coordinate inspection schedules, access requirements, traffic control, and stakeholder communications.
Perform in-depth inspections utilizing specialized access methods and testing techniques.
Support post-event inspections and provide recommendations regarding structural safety and serviceability.
Provide guidance, mentoring, and technical oversight to inspection staff.
Assist with bridge load ratings and related structural engineering assignments.
