Job summary

M&J Engineering, D.P.C. is seeking an experienced Bridge Inspection Team Leader to support bridge inspection and structural engineering projects in the DMV region. You will lead inspection teams, manage field operations, coordinate with clients and government agencies, and contribute to rehabilitation projects.

Salary: $100,000 – $150,000, commensurate with experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and life insurance. Some travel required (≈50%).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Successful completion of NHI Course 130055 or NHI Courses 130056/130078.
• Minimum five years of bridge inspection experience.
• Minimum one year as a qualified NBIS Team Leader.
• Strong NBIS knowledge.
• Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel locally throughout the DMV region (≈50%).
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site safety inspections of bridges and culverts.
• Lead a team of inspectors in the field during inspections.
• Schedule and coordinate inspections, personnel, vendors, stakeholders, and maintenance of traffic.
• Operate access equipment and other inspection equipment.
• Review and update bridge inspection reports.
• Develop repair recommendations.
• Review structural analysis data.
