Job summary

Consor seeks an Engineer or EIT Diver to join dive teams for structural assessment contracts across the United States. You will plan, schedule and coordinate dive assignments, serve as a bridge inspector and diver, and contribute to the inspection reports.

A fast path to Team Leader is available as you gain field and leadership experience. You will perform inspections, write reports, and participate in load ratings while maintaining equipment and bridge records.

Qualifications

• ADCI Commercial Diving certification is required.
• BS Degree in Engineering (Civil or Structural preferred) from an accredited University
• Proficient technical writing skills
• CAD skills preferred
• Must be physically able to perform bridge inspections in the field
• Valid driver’s license required

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and develop reports in accordance with national bridge inspection standards requirements to determine maintenance or repair needs.
• Perform emergency inspections of bridges damaged by collision and floods.
• Be involved with report preparation and quality control process.
• Load rating of existing bridges.
• Maintain and prepare equipment for field inspections including dive equipment, vehicles and boats.
• Maintain bridge records and files
