Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking an engineer-in-training to assist in the production and modification of design calculations, plans, and specifications for assigned projects in New York. You will work with the team to develop concepts and detailed designs using current drawing tools and software.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and familiarity with MicroStation or AutoCAD, plus knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work within project schedules and hours.
• Assists in preparing and modifying project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.
• Assists in preparing project quantity and cost estimates.
• Supports design file organization and administrative tasks for the project team.
• Contributes to field investigations and design development as needed.

Applies engineering techniques, procedures and design criteria for projects ranging in size and complexity. Leverages technical knowledge to assist in the execution and evaluation of project designs. Develops conceptual and detailed designs and calculations to support the project execution using current drawing and technical tools, programs and software.
