Job summary

Louisiana Bridge Builders in Lake Charles, LA, seeks a skilled Carpenter (Formbuilding/Formsetting) II to support concrete structure formwork. The role focuses on assembling forms, reading plans, cutting materials, and ensuring accuracy and safety on site.

You will work with teams to install fixtures, verify alignment, and assist during pours, maintaining high standards for quality and safety.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant form carpentry experience.
• Proven knowledge of tools, equipment, and techniques used in formwork.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans (blueprints) for form requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assemble forms for bridges, foundations, beams, and other structures.
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine form requirements.
• Measure and cut materials to specified sizes using hand and power tools.
• Ensure formwork is level, plumb, and square using levels and lasers.
• Install anchor bolts, plates, and fixtures in formwork; remove formwork after concrete cures.
• Inspect formwork for safety and maintain it in good condition.
