Job summary

Kokosing Construction is seeking Carpenters (Heavy Highway – Roadway/Bridge projects) with experience in form work for bridges and structures. The role is on-site at bridge/heavy highway projects in Wallops Island, VA, with daily responsibilities including layout, cutting, and assembling concrete forms.

The position requires knowledge of blueprints, use of hand/power tools, and adherence to safety protocols. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Carpenter Training Program or equivalent, or bridge work experience.
• Read blueprints, read rules.

Responsibilities

• Constructs forms and chutes for pouring concrete.
• Erects and braces forms for piers, footings, and walls.
• Sets expansion dams and assembles formwork.
• Ability to work with hand and power tools to construct forms.
• Maintain safety standards including fall protection and use of steel-toed boots.
