RailWorks is seeking a Craft Foreman to direct work groups on active railway properties and construction zones. You will apply railway operating rules to ensure contractors clear working zones before a train approaches, minimizing delays to operations.

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 4 years in the railway industry, experience with timber bridge repair, and familiarity with safety regulations. Strong communication and computer skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in railway industry.
• Experience with timber bridge repair preferred.
• Track Inspection Guidelines certification is an asset.
• Ability to read schedules and railway plans and specifications.
• Ability to work in a safety-sensitive position directing work groups on live railway corridors.
• Knowledge of railway safety regulations and safety precautions.

Responsabilités

• Embrace safety culture and adhere to industry and company policies and procedures.
• Conduct daily job briefings so contractors understand site instructions.
• Review the work site daily with Supervisor/contractors’ rep to understand work and hazards.
• Set up, reposition, and dismantle railway signals at designated locations.
• Communicate with work group, other flagmen, and Rail Traffic Controllers using procedures and radios.
• Operate company vehicles and complete daily maintenance/inspections of units.
• Perform special duties as assigned by the Capital Supervisor.
• Handle administrative duties related to proper documentation per Quality Management System.
