Job description

/// Seeking Bridge Foreman with quality experience in supervision and oversight of construction operations for state and local bridge construction projects. Location of work will vary throughout western North Carolina and upstate South Carolina. ///

Desired Skills and Experience

• Coordinate crew to ensure adequate staffing of jobs
• Supervise bridge crews in a heavy highway/construction environment including setting forms, pile driving, drilled shafts, etc.
• Lead field operations to ensure safety, quality & productivity and oversee compliance with all safety policies and OSHA regulations
• Plan and manage production and safety of the project
• Monitor and improve crew productions and understand goals
• Communicate with inspectors
• Review construction plans to determine design and specifications
• Assists project management in ensuring that all work meets specifications
• Maintains accurate reporting of materials used and time reporting of crew members

Additional Requirements:

• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in bridge construction
• A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in managing a crew of bridge carpenters, laborers and pile drivers in heave highway/construction environments
• Ability to adapt to and learn a variety of computer applications
• Strong attention to detail
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Great interpersonal skills and ability to work well independently and as a team
• Must have proficient knowledge with NCDOT/SCDOT standard specification as it relates to bridge construction and possess hands-on knowledge of bridge construction
• Must have ability to oversee entire construction project from start to finish
• Ability to read blueprints
• Able to complete required duties in a fast-paced environment and within stated deadlines
• Must be willing to travel
• Work average of 10 hour days, 5-6 days per week
• Must possess a clean valid driver’s license
• Verifiable References
