Job summary

Delaware River Port Authority is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to assist in fleet and grounds maintenance. You will operate specialized equipment such as street sweepers and barrier machines, perform minor fleet repairs, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies.

The role requires a Class A or B CDL with air brakes and Tanker Endorsement, plus experience with heavy equipment and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass drug and alcohol test and background check.
• Must pass DRPA Construction & Maintenance Mechanic test.
• Work involves operating specialized equipment and performing minor fleet repairs.
• Valid CDL with air brakes and Tanker Endorsement required.

Responsibilities

• Operate specialized equipment (street sweeper, barrier machine, etc.) safely and in accordance with laws.
• Maintain specified areas to Authority standards.
• Perform minor repairs on fleet and snow equipment.
• Coordinate with Foreman and outside contractors.
• Participate in Maintenance and Protection of Traffic on/near bridge property.
