Job summary

WSP USA in Charlotte or Raleigh, NC, is seeking a Full-Time Bridge Engineering Intern to work with experienced engineers on transportation projects across the Carolinas.

The 12-week Summer Internship Program starts May 17, 2027, with potential part-time continuation during the academic year. Earn hands-on design and construction support experience while adhering to WSP’s safety policies and code of conduct.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's degree program in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.
• Anticipated graduation date May 2028 or later.
• Authorization to work in the United States at internship start.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of engineering tasks on transportation projects to develop technical and ethical skills.
• Learn basics of Structural and Bridge Engineering.
• Assist with field investigations, design calculations, and analysis.
• Learn software such as OpenBridge Designer and OpenRoads Designer.
