Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Bridge Engineering Intern – Spring 2027 for our Miami, FL office. You will perform design calculations for bridges and civil structures, and support senior engineers with reinforcement lists and quantity take-offs.

You will complete technical training, review shop drawings for compliance, and gain hands-on experience through our Explore intern program, mentorship, and project exposure across the network.

Qualifications

• Must be a junior and have completed 90 hours toward a civil engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program by Summer 2027.
• Experience working in a team in a professional setting.
• Ability to learn analysis software including MathCAD, Excel, and bridge modeling tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform design calculations for bridges and civil structures.
• Support senior engineers by preparing reinforcement lists and quantity take-offs.
• Review shop drawings for compliance with design plans.
• Complete technical training courses assigned for career development.
