The Alaska DOT&PF Bridge Section is hiring a Bridge Engineering Assistant in Juneau, AK, the perfect role for early-career engineers looking to gain hands‑on experience with some of the most diverse and challenging infrastructure in the nation!

What you will be doing?

The Bridge Engineering Assistant plays a critical role in managing and enhancing our state’s 1,077 bridges! You’ll be involved in a variety of exciting tasks, from conducting bridge inspections and analyzing existing structures to designing new bridges and overseeing construction projects. Under the guidance of licensed engineers, you’ll perform structural analysis, calculations, and prepare detailed plans, specifications, cost estimates, and reports. You’ll also create structural details, calculate quantities, and draft specifications for construction contracts. Position Perks:
