Metro Associates is seeking a Senior Transportation Bridge Project Manager in Albany, NY to lead complex bridge design and related civil infrastructure programs. This role focuses on delivering high-visibility projects tied to NYSDOT Program 1, public agency coordination, and multidisciplinary delivery with community impact.

The candidate will oversee scope, schedule, budget, and staffing while mentoring teams and representing the client in professional and community settings.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years in civil transportation engineering, including bridge design project management.
• Professional Engineering License (PE).
• Experience managing NYSDOT, LAFA and locally funded bridge projects.
• Familiarity with federally funded programs and bridge delivery from design through delivery.
• Strong client-focused leadership, collaboration, integrity, and ownership.

• Lead design strategy with teams, clients, partners, and stakeholders.

Senior Transportation Bridge Project Manager - Albany, NY

Lead Capital Region senior bridge and civil infrastructure projects tied to NYSDOT Region 1, state-agency-facing assignments, local bridge programs, structural design, federally funded transportation delivery, and high-visibility infrastructure improvements.

Serve as a senior PE project leader for bridge design, NYSDOT coordination, public agency relationships, multidisciplinary delivery, scope, schedule, budget, mentoring, and transportation assignments with direct community impact.

What You'll Do

• Lead transportation bridge design projects from proposal through design and construction.
• Manage project budgets, scope, schedule, staffing, billing, QA/QC, client updates, and closeout to ensure successful delivery.
• Lead design strategy with teams, clients, partners, and stakeholders to align project decisions with client goals.
• Prepare winning proposals, serve as primary client contact, and support business development with public agency and municipal clients.
• Provide clear direction, motivation, mentorship, and leadership while representing our client in professional and community settings.

What We're Looking For

• B.S. in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years in civil transportation engineering, including bridge design project management.

• Demonstrated experience managing NYSDOT, LAFA and locally funded bridge projects. Familiarity with federally funded programs, and bridge projects from design through delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in MS Office, MicroStation, and bridge design software preferred.

• Strong mentoring capability with the ability to grow staff and reinforce quality, standards, and delivery discipline.
