Job summary

gpac is seeking a Senior Structural/Bridge Engineer in Iowa to lead design of highway bridges for state DOT and local agencies. You will oversee complex projects from concept to plan preparation, ensuring compliance with AASHTO LRFD standards and rigorous quality control.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with DOT offices, roadway teams, and contractors, and help shape long-term growth of the bridge team.

Qualifications

• PE license (Iowa PE or ability to obtain quickly).
• 8+ years of structural/bridge design experience.
• State DOT bridge experience strongly preferred (Iowa DOT, Nebraska DOT, or South Dakota DOT a big plus).
• Strong knowledge of AASHTO standards and procedures.
• Experience with bridge design software (LEAP, CSiBridge, or similar).
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
