Job summary

Fuss & O'Neill is seeking an experienced Bridge Engineer to join our Transportation team in a hybrid role. You will design and deliver safe, resilient bridge structures serving New England communities and collaborate across disciplines to ensure high-quality project outcomes.

The ideal candidate has at least five years in bridge engineering, a Civil Engineering degree with a structural focus, and familiarity with NHDOT, MaineDOT, MassDOT, and VTrans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in bridge engineering and design.
• Familiarity with regional DOTs (NHDOT, MaineDOT, MassDOT, VTrans) strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation desirable.

Responsibilities

• Execute bridge design efforts on multi-disciplinary projects.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and support staff to develop design calculations and bridge plans.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers in design tasks and project development.
• Ensure compliance with project budgets, schedules, and all QC/QA protocols.
• Perform site visits and bridge inspections during design and construction phases as needed.
