Job summary

Verdantas is seeking a civil/bridge engineer to help design and analyze transportation structures. You will contribute to plans, specs, and cost estimates, and prepare technical reports with multi-disciplinary teams.

The position requires a Civil Engineering degree and 4+ years of bridge or transportation experience, with Ohio PE eligibility within 12 months. A mix of office work and field duties is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of bridge or transportation engineering experience.
• Ohio PE license (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and technical writing skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Comfortable working both in the office and occasionally in the field.

Responsibilities

• Perform bridge design calculations and structural analysis.
• Support the development of plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Contribute to technical reports and project documentation.
• Participate in design discussions and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Work with senior engineers and project managers on transportation projects.
• Support project delivery for ODOT, local agencies, and national clients.
• Engage in a variety of projects that will broaden your technical skillset.
