Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking an experienced Bridge Engineer to lead diverse bridge projects in the New England region, Boston-area focus. The role spans junior to senior levels, offering technical leadership across a broad portfolio.

Responsibilities include design of steel, concrete, and PT bridges, plus related structures, inspections, load ratings, and mentoring a growing Massachusetts team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural, Structural Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 7 years of related bridge or structural engineering experience.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the design of various bridge structures, including steel, concrete, post‑tensioned, and prestressed concrete.
• Design related structures such as retaining walls, gantries, and foundations.
• Perform bridge load ratings.
• Conduct inspections of bridges and culverts.
• Support the growth and development of a dynamic bridge engineering team in Massachusetts and throughout New England.
• Deliver innovative, high‑quality designs utilizing advanced technologies and accelerated bridge construction (ABC) techniques.
• Contribute to projects delivered through Design‑Bid‑Build, Design‑Build, and Construction Management‑at‑Risk.

To support continued growth in the New England region, my client is seeking an experienced and motivated Bridge Engineer, ranging anywhere from junior to senior-level, to join a thriving bridge practice. This individual will provide technical leadership and contribute to a diverse portfolio of bridge projects across the Northeast.

The role includes involvement in all phases of bridge design - from early scoping through final plans, specifications, estimates (PS&E), and construction engineering services.

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• PE license in Massachusetts.
• Additional PE licenses in CT or NH (or ability to obtain via reciprocity).
• Massachusetts SE certification.
• 7+ years of MassDOT bridge design experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation/OpenBridge.
