Position Profile

This role is within our Infrastructure Market, focusing on bridges for highway and railway projects, and potentially other structural projects across Hanson’s markets. Location flexibility includes any of our offices nationwide or full-time remote for suitable candidates.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations, utilize analysis and design software, and collaborate with team members for project completion.
• Work with senior technical staff and other disciplines on significant projects nationwide.
• Conduct analysis, design, prepare specifications, details, and construction plans.
• Review calculations, plans, quantities, and cost estimates.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Technical Skills

• At least 8 years of bridge design experience, including steel girder, prestressed concrete, and earth-retaining structures.
• Thorough knowledge of AASHTO LRFD design code.
• Proficiency in Risa, Midas, Leap Bridge Concrete, or similar software.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and lead others.
• Excellent client service focus.

Soft Skills

• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to engineers and clients.
• Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Work independently and collaboratively to solve problems and learn new skills.
• Interest in diverse assignments.

Education/Training

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with structural coursework.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• Ability to obtain a Structural Engineering (SE) license.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with transportation departments' design practices and bridge standards.
• Experience with FDOT and TxDOT projects is desirable.

Salary range: $111,738 - $120,266
