Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities in Juneau is seeking a position to perform structural engineering analysis and calculations for bridge load ratings, bridge management tasks, and overload permit assessment.
You will also complete bridge safety inspections (NSTM, low water, in-depth) and may contribute to design and preparation of bridge construction plans, specs, cost estimates, and reports.
What you will be doing:
In this position you will perform structural engineering analysis and calculations for the development of bridge load ratings, bridge management tasks, and overload permit assessment. You will also complete bridge safety inspections, including routine, non-redundant steel tension member (NSTM), low water, and in-depth inspections. Some design and preparation of bridge construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and report tasks may be involved as well.
