We are looking for a Bridge Engineer to join our Overland Park, KS team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee bridge engineering projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Prepare proposals and contracts for bridge projects, demonstrating a strong understanding of project requirements and client needs.
  • Conduct design calculations to develop innovative and efficient bridge structures that meet safety, code, and industry standards.
  • Create comprehensive construction documents, including detailed drawings and specifications, to facilitate smooth construction processes.
  • Estimate quantities and construction costs, providing accurate and reliable information for project budgeting and cost control.
  • Provide construction phase services, including site visits, inspections, and coordination with contractors to ensure successful project implementation.

Required Skills and Abilities :

  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field from an ABET accredited program
  • Active PE license
  • 5+ years experience in bridge engineering and design
  • Proficiency in using structural design software and other relevant engineering tools.
  • Strong understanding of construction concepts and the ability to integrate various components into cohesive bridge designs.
  • Familiarity with interpreting engineering contract documents and applicable codes.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse group of professionals.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision, while also being an effective team player.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently, demonstrating exceptional organizational skills.
