Our client is looking to bring on a seasoned Bridge Engineering Manager to support and expand their transportation infrastructure practice in New York City. This leadership role will oversee bridge and structural engineering initiatives, guide multidisciplinary project teams, and play a key role in project delivery, business growth, and staff development. The successful candidate will help drive technical excellence across complex transportation projects while contributing to strategic planning and team expansion efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to multiple bridge engineering and structural design teams.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects.
- Review engineering drawings, technical reports, contract documents, and specifications for quality and compliance.
- Direct the development and review of project budgets, schedules, and construction cost estimates.
- Coordinate and evaluate contractor submittals and construction-phase documentation.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations, project progress, budgets, and timelines.
- Support proposal preparation, client engagement, and pursuit of new business opportunities.
- Represent the firm through technical presentations, industry conferences, and professional forums.
- Maintain involvement in professional organizations and industry associations.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop engineering staff while fostering a collaborative team environment.

- Extensive knowledge of bridge engineering principles, structural analysis, and transportation infrastructure design.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience using industry-standard engineering and project management software.
- Proven track record of leading engineering teams and managing complex projects.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
- Understanding of workplace safety practices and project risk management.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive bridge and transportation engineering experience.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
