Job summary

HNTB in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking an Engineer to assist in producing design calculations, technical reports, and plans for transportation projects. You will develop conceptual and detailed designs, perform calculations, and support project delivery with the project team, using MicroStation/AutoCAD and MS Office.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s with 1 year. EIT preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience or Master’s with 1+ year.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) is preferred.
• FDOT/bridge experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work within the schedule and hours provided.
• Prepares and/or modifies portions of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.
• Develops project quantities and assists with cost estimates.
• Assists engineering teams with organization of design files.
• Able to self-sufficiently complete research, data collection, field investigations, and design tasks.
