Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking a designer/engineer in Newark, NJ to assist in producing and modifying design calculations, reports, and engineering plans for infrastructure projects. You will work with the project team, develop designs, and contribute to successful project delivery across multiple locations in New Jersey.

Prerequisites include a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and familiarity with MicroStation/AutoCAD and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• Exhibits understanding of engineering principles relevant to the discipline.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work within the schedule and hours.
• Supports preparation and modification of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.
• Assists in preparation of project quantity and cost estimates.
• Assists engineering teams with organization and administrative support of design files.
• Supports engineering teams with research, data collection, field investigations, and design of projects.
