Job summary

St. Louis County is seeking a Bridge Worker to contribute to your community by performing routine, semi-skilled operation of heavy construction equipment and tools, and general labor in the construction and maintenance of County bridges.

You will work under the supervision of a Bridge Supervisor and be part of a team dedicated to safe, durable infrastructure across the county. The 2026 starting salary range is reflected as the normal hiring range; the full salary range, including longevity pay,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• One (1) year full-time paid verifiable experience as a general laborer in heavy building or road/bridge construction.
• Possession of a Class 'B' CDL without an airbrake restriction with the ability to obtain a Class 'A' CDL with a tank vehicle endorsement within six months of employment.
