Job summary

Sanford Contractors, Inc. is seeking a Skilled Bridgeworker to construct and repair bridges, lead junior team members, and uphold safety and quality standards on-site.

The role requires hands-on construction experience and a commitment to continuous skill development under supervisor direction. You will perform tasks safely with tools, manage formwork, tie rebar, load concrete, operate vibrators, and assist in pile-driving, while following all safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in bridge construction preferred.
• Ability to read basic construction plans.
• Willingness to work extended hours.
• Commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Maintain punctuality, dependability, and professionalism at all times.
• Safely operate hand tools and basic power tools for bridge construction.
• Lead pile-driving operations as assigned.
• Operate concrete vibrators during concrete placement.
• Install and remove concrete formwork.
• Read and interpret basic construction plans.
• Learn to operate surveying equipment to establish line and grade.
• Serve as a positive role model and provide guidance to less experienced bridgeworkers.
• Communicate planned absences to allow for staffing and scheduling.
• Work extended hours as required to meet project demands.
