Job summary

Prudent Engineering seeks a Construction Resident Engineer with bridge experience for Syracuse, NY, starting July 2026. You will oversee bridge construction, inspect progress, and verify compliance with plans, specs, and regulations, coordinating with contractors and project teams.

Requirements include NICET IV or equivalent, 6 years in the field, NY DOT/Thruway exposure, and CA project administration skills. AIC/OSHA-10 certifications and a valid driver’s license enabling travel are preferred.

Qualifications

• NICET IV certification or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 6 years of field experience.
• Prior NYDOT/Thruway bridge inspection experience.
• Proficiency in computer-aided project administration.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field preferred.
• ACI Certification.
• OSHA 10 certification and safety knowledge.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to Jamestown area sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and inspect bridge construction projects across stages to ensure plans and specs are followed.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and project requirements during construction.
• Coordinate with contractors, inspectors, and project team to maintain schedule and quality.
