Prudent Engineering, LLP seeks a Construction Resident Engineer in Rochester, NY, with bridge experience to oversee inspection activities and ensure adherence to project plans and regulations. The role starts in August/September 2026, with typical hours 7:00am–3:30pm and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• NICET IV certification or equivalent experience.
• New York State DOT and/or NYS Thruway inspection experience on bridge construction projects.
• Proficiency with computer-aided project administration software.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• ACI Certification.
• OSHA 10 certification and knowledge of safety procedures on construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and inspect bridge construction projects to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and regulations.
• Coordinate with contractors, inspectors, and project stakeholders to maintain schedules and quality.
