Job summary

M&J Engineering P.C. is looking for qualified Construction Inspectors (Level II & III) for a bridge reconstruction project in Wallops Island, VA. Candidates should have extensive experience in bridge and highway construction and familiarity with FHWA and State standards. Responsibilities include performing inspections, reviewing contractor reports, and maintaining project diaries.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in traffic control, erosion control, and bridge construction.
• Quality assurance experience with segmental bridge sections.
• Stormwater Management and Erosion and Sediment Control certifications desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of traffic control and environmental controls.
• Review and accept/reject daily contractor reports.
• Maintain the daily project diary and complete Inspector’s Daily Reports.

Skills

Extensive experience in bridge and highway construction

Quality assurance experience

Familiarity with FHWA and State standards

Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Adobe

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education

BS Degree in Civil Engineering or NICET Certification
