Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of roadway, structure, and bridge construction, standards, and specs.
• Strong understanding of environmental, safety, and EEO guidelines.
• Proven ability to supervise field inspectors and coordinate with agencies.

Responsibilities

• Inspect all phases of civil construction to ensure work matches plans and specs.
• Review materials placement and perform standard field tests; obtain certifications when needed.
• Verify lines, grades, elevations with survey equipment.
• Enforce erosion controls, work zones, and traffic safety devices.
• Coordinate construction phases with Contractor and agency personnel.
• Maintain meticulous project records and prepare monthly progress estimates.
• Assist with modification recommendations to reduce costs.
