Job summary

GPI is seeking highly qualified Bridge Coatings Inspectors to work on various projects across Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and other Midwest states. Experience in transportation or municipal projects is highly preferred; metalizing or shop inspection is a plus.

As part of a multi-discipline engineering firm with 50+ years in the industry, you will inspect, test, and document coating work, review submittals, and support safety and quality on site.

Qualifications

• Must have CIP 1 level basic coatings inspector with at least 1 year of coating inspection experience.
• Preferred SSPC certifications include BCI and C3 Supervisor.
• AMPP coatings inspectors will be considered for the role.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, accept, or reject work per specifications and codes.
• Monitor waste materials and traffic control as specified.
• Prepare daily/weekly inspection reports on conditions, progress, weather, and acceptance.
• Travel to multiple job sites; some assignments may include night shifts.
