Hanson Professional Services, Inc. in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Bridge Engineer (EIT) to assist in the design and inspection of bridges and structures.

You will perform analyses, prepare specifications and construction plans, and participate in construction engineering while developing professional registration. Qualifications include a civil engineering degree, EI/NCEES eligibility, and potential for a 16-hour structural exam.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required.
• EI registration or eligibility within 6 months is required or equivalent.
• Able to sit for the 16-hour NCEES Structural exam.
• Registration as an Engineer Intern (EI) with the Illinois Division of Professional Regulation or other NCEES-recognized jurisdiction.
• Recent graduate or up to 3 years of experience; salary commensurate with experience.
• Master's degree in structural engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design of bridges and structures.
• Assist in inspection of in-service bridges and structures.
• Conduct analysis and design, preparation of specifications, details, and construction plans.
• Assist construction engineering.
• Document construction activity.
• Evaluate construction for contract compliance.
• Interpret plans for design intent.
• Other duties as assigned.
