Job summary

The Walsh Group, Ltd. is seeking a skilled Carpenter for the Texas Transportation Group project in Dallas, Texas. You will construct, install, and finish wooden structures for bridges, walls, and related components on heavy civil works.

Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, assembling prefabricated units, and using hand and power tools. Safety, reliable teamwork, and ability to work in varied weather are essential for successful project completion.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of verifiable carpentry experience preferred.
• Ability to climb and balance on scaffolds/ladders.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; work in varied weather conditions.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Adhere to safety policies and communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
• Strong work ethic and desire to learn.
• Good manual dexterity; standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Measures distance and marks guidelines on working surface.
• Prepares, builds, and installs wooden structures to form bridges, walls, and related structures.
• Assist with installation of awnings or metal decking as needed.
• Uses carpenter’s belt with hand tools, power tools and woodworking machinery.
