Job summary

The Walsh Group, Ltd. is seeking a Carpenter for the Central Water Group/Tom Taylor Phase 3B Project in Lewisville, TX.

You will construct, erect, and install wooden structures for commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects, using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines. Candidates should have 3-5 years of verifiable experience, the ability to work at heights on scaffolds or ladders, and the stamina to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of verifiable carpentry experience preferred.
• Ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladder.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; work in varying weather conditions.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Adherence to all safety policies and procedures; effective communication with coworkers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Measures distance and marks guidelines on surfaces for layout work.
• Prepares, builds, and installs wooden structures in line with prefabricated units for bridges and walls.
• Assist with installation of awnings and metal decking for concrete slabs where relevant.
• Operate carpentry tools and equipment as part of wood fabrication and assembly.
