Position Summary:
Clearwater Construction is currently accepting applications for a Carpenter Trainee. Work will be in Pike County, Pennsylvania and the successful candidate will be required to join the Carpenters Union.
You will be responsible for performing tasks involving physical labor at job sites, and be trained in all aspects for heavy highway bridge construction carpenter activities with emphasis on safety, including the operation of hand and power tools of all types. You will experience building wood and metal forms for the casting of concrete structures, and you will learn about all traditional tasks assigned to bridge carpenters on a heavy/highway project. You may perform other related duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for construction and have an appreciation for the fast-paced environment of our industry. Candidate must also be dependable, punctual, and willing to work hard in order to learn new skills for an exciting career in heavy/highway bridge construction. Must have a willingness to work outdoors in various conditions, including hot and cold weather. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to enter the trades.
