Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in carpentry preferred.
• Experience in bridge construction, concrete form carpentry, heavy civil construction, or general construction labor preferred.
• Experience reading form systems, concrete placement, and structural carpentry.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong communication and analytical skills; ability to analyze project data for improvement.
• Experience with government contracts and compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction, installation, and removal of concrete forms for bridge decks, walls, columns, caps, footings, and other structural components.
• Perform general carpentry duties related to bridge and concrete structure work.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine scope of work.
• Measure, mark, and cut materials to required size and shape.
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards.
• Communicate with crew members and subcontractors to meet schedule and budget.
• Develop and maintain relationships with crew and subcontractors regarding project deadlines.
• Identify and resolve issues that arise during construction projects.
• Other duties as assigned.
