Job summary

HDR seeks a CADD Technician to join our Transportation Business Group in Baton Rouge. You will perform drafting tasks under supervision and produce drawings, layouts and graphics using AutoCAD or MicroStation, supporting engineering projects across transportation systems.

The role requires an associate or technical degree and familiarity with CAD tools and Microsoft Office, with attention to detail and strong organization as key traits.

Qualifications

In the role of CADD Technician, we'll count on you to:

• Perform discipline specific drafting assignments requiring application of standardized drawing techniques, under the direct supervision of an Architect/Engineer, or other technical professional
• Prepare drawings, layouts, sketches, maps and graphic representations of engineering designs using computer-aided design software
• Perform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications

• Associate or technical school degree, or combination of education and relevant experience
• Knowledge of standard CAD Software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills
• Basic understanding of engineering or architectural concepts, workflows and deliverables
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
