Job summary

Nemours Children's Health is seeking an Epic Decisioning Clinical Informatics Specialist to support clinical operations and the enterprise-wide EHR. You will translate clinical needs into workflow, documentation, and technology solutions to promote safe, effective patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field; professional clinical licensure may be required.
• Minimum of three years of experience in clinical practice, operations, EHR support, clinical informatics, or related areas.
• Experience with Epic or other EHR systems; certification preferred.
• Active professional clinical licensure in nursing or allied health field required.

Responsibilities

• Provides daily Epic Decisioning support and workflow guidance to Nemours associates.
• Serves as an Epic Decisioning SME to promote effective use of the EHR and clinical systems.
• Facilitates optimization of the EHR to enhance documentation and reduce burden.
• Supports intake, routing, triage, and decisioning processes for Epic-related requests.
• Analyzes operational workflows, identifies root issues, and recommends practical solutions.
• Translates requirements into workflow, documentation, and training specifications for stakeholders.
• Provides education to associates for EHR upgrades, optimizations, and adoption of new functionality.
• Coaches end users in EHR use, workflows, and communication tools.
• Evaluates workflows to improve processes, data quality, and patient safety.
• Gathers feedback from associates and leaders to improve systems and service delivery.
• Acts as liaison to informatics committees and cross-functional councils.
