Job summary

Farnsworth Group Inc. is seeking a Bridge Associate I in Illinois to contribute to the design and analysis of bridge and transportation projects. The role involves structural calculations, drafting using MicroStation, and collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams on DOT programs.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Structural Engineering with 0–2 years of bridge experience and a working knowledge of MicroStation/AutoCAD. A valid driver’s license and a hybrid work option are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering.
• 0-2 years’ experience designing structural systems for bridge projects.
• Knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, or other engineering design software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Interest and/or familiarity with Department of Transportation (DOT): permitting agency and industry design; permitting and construction standards; and/or policies and procedures.
• Valid state driver's license and ability to successfully pass a motor vehicle check or reliable form of transportation to/from the office and/or project site.

Responsibilities

• Participate in coordination meetings with multidisciplinary project teams.

FarnsworthGroup is seeking a Bridge Associate I in the below posting locations. In this role, you will contribute to the design and analysis of bridge and transportation infrastructure projects, perform structural calculations and develop construction plans using industry-leading design software, collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams, and gain hands‑on experience working on impactful projects for DOT and transportation clients. What You’ll Do

Salary Range

$70,000-$86,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity)
